History of AiSVIM

The history of AiSVIM is rooted in the academic collaboration that developed across Asia through the Asian Meetings of Animal Medicine Specialties (AMAMS).

AiSVIM traces its origin to 2007, when the First Asian Veterinary Internal Medicine Meeting was held in Hangzhou, China, as part of a joint congress with the Asian Veterinary Dermatology Meeting. This marked the beginning of a dedicated academic forum for veterinary internal medicine in Asia.

Subsequently, the internal medicine sessions continued to be held within the framework of AMAMS on a biennial basis, in collaboration with national veterinary congresses across Asia.

Through these meetings, veterinarians in the region engaged in scientific presentation, clinical discussion, and professional exchange.
